Parking Made Easy at the Louisville Lexington Regional 2018 This year the parking at Horseshoe Casino will be a little different than in years past. The parking garage is closed, so Horseshoe is offering “Free Valet” services for people who would like to take advantage of this opportunity. (Tipping is not required). Look for the big white sign that says “Valet Parking”. This will be just past the old entrance to the parking garage on Highway 111, and you will turn right and follow the signs to the valet parking.
If you choose to park your car yourself, take the first right off highway 111 when you arrive at Horseshoe, and follow the signs to the Hotel Parking Garage. Park your car on any level you like. There are elevators that will take you to the showroom (where the tournament is being played) in the pavilion. If you park on the top floor of the hotel parking garage, you will enter on the floor where the showroom is located. There are moving sidewalks, and the horseshoe will be providing shuttle service between the hotel, at the doors to the upper level hotel parking garage, and the elevators from the hotel parking garage.

The District 11 Board of Directors voted unanimously to end the publication of the Midwest monitor effective July 1, 2018. The District lowers costs by several thousand dollars, costs it passed on to the Units. We encourage Unit Representatives to send human interest news for posting to the Distirct 11 website. We encourage all District members to use their Unit and District websites to find out what's new, and keep abreast of special events of interest. We are working with the Midwest Monitor Editor to capture historical electronic copies to complete our permanent electronic archive on this site.

District 11 ACBL Director Report - AJ Stephani: Summer 2018 Atlanta, GA firstname.lastname@example.org
Atlanta NABC Meetings Hi All! Many apologies for such a long delay from my last newsletter – to be honest, the Atlanta ACBL Board of Directors (BOD) meetings were something of a dud for developments that affect our grass roots members. We had our usual slate of motions, with 3 full days of Committee and full Board meetings, and an additional day-long retreat of sorts with lots of interesting guest speakers (including our own Steve Moese!). However, most of the motions were hardly earth-shattering, and I’m hopeful that the BOD will move away from the administrative minutiae in coming years. I’ve been waiting for some more juicy tidbits to tell you about, but we’ve been in something of a holding pattern since last spring. I want to keep these newsletters focused on decisions that matter most to our players while maintaining a reasonable length. I also want to balance the informational content (what did the Board decide?) with opinion (why did I vote a certain way?).
